Chapter 17 He’s Lowell?
Christine was still in shock.
She had heard from Bridgette about attending Xavier’s birthday party, but deep down, she still couldn’t believe Bridgette would get to know a prominent family like the Austins.
It wasn’t until Lowell walked over and talked with Sephora that she realized what Bridgette said was right. Her two daughters did know Lowell.
Christine didn’t gradually come to her senses until she watched Lowell disappear from her sight.
“This is the only heir to the Austin family and the next head of the family?” The answer was quite obvious, but she still asked the question with uncertainty.
Bridgette was disgruntled at the moment, but she still answered, “Yes, he’s Lowell Austin.”
Hearing that, Christine was uncontrollably excited.
She had never expected to associate with the Austin family.
Obviously, Lowell looked quite interested in Sephora.
Christine herself didn’t understand why Lowell would have an interest in a girl raised in the countryside. She couldn’t help wondering if the rich people just had a special taste.

But no matter what Lowell thought, if he was really interested in Sephora, it was surely a good thing for the Levine family. Everyone would wish to ride the coattails of the Austin family.
Christine figured that she must find a tutor to teach Sephora etiquette. and cultivate her temperament. Sephora might be able to marry Lowell one day.
“Mom, let’s go home if you’re done eating!”
Bridgette didn’t know what Christine was thinking. Now she only wanted to leave the restaurant and stay away from those gossipers.
Bridgette’s voice broke into Christine’s thoughts.
“OK. Sephie, are you done?”
“Yes, I am. Let’s go!” Sephora wiped her mouth with the napkin and answered.
The three of them stood up and went to pay the check before leaving
the restaurant.
The Levines‘ driver was waiting at the restaurant door. When Christine and her two daughters got in the car, the car was running back home.
Now, Lowell was sitting in his spot. Opposite him sat a woman.
She was undeniably striking–a good–looking face, chestnut wavy hair cascading over her shoulders, a figure that turned heads, and a sleek black skirt that hugged her curves just right.
“Mr. Austin, would you come if I said this wasn’t for business?” the woman smiled at Lowell.

“You tell me.”
“Mr. Austin, I can’t know what you’re thinking.”
Lowell frowned disdainfully.
“Looks like you don’t feel like talking business. No need to continue. the meal then.”
Then, he just rose and left. He didn’t look back, no matter what the woman said behind him.
“Mr. Austin… Mr. Austin…”
Watching Lowell go away, the woman was remorseful. She tried to ask him a few times, but Lowell’s secretary always turned her down, saying Lowell was too busy.
This time, she finally got to see him with the excuse of cooperation. However, he just left even before the dishes were served.
Sitting on the seat, the woman started to think about what she had seen earlier. Lowell preferred quietness. So, she picked a seat on the second floor. Hence, she saw what had happened on the first floor.
Just now, Lowell directly walked to the seats by the window and stopped in front of a table of three women upon entering the restaurant.
She assumed the three women should be a mother and her daughters. The mother looked at least forty years old.
As to the two other women, she guessed that they had just come of age or were just underage.
Because of the distance, the woman didn’t hear what Lowell and the
three women had talked about.
She believed that the three women must be somewhat associated with Lowell.
So, the woman also decided to look into who they were.
“Waiter, can I get the bill?”
Since Lowell had left, the woman didn’t feel like eating alone. So, she meant to pay the bill and leave.
“Miss, Mr. Austin has paid the check.”
Lowell was annoyed by the woman’s asking him out under the guise of work, but he wouldn’t let the woman pay for dinner with him.
So, after he left, he asked his assistant to pay the bill in advance.
Now that the bill had been paid, the woman took her purse and left.
Christine and her daughters also had been back home. After shopping for a whole morning, Sephora was worn out. So, as soon as she got home, she returned to her room.
She had planned to go for a drive this afternoon. After all, she had. wanted to do that since the day before. However, shopping had drained her energy. She couldn’t help wondering why other women were so keen on shopping.
Sephora felt shopping for a whole morning was even more exhausting than fighting.
It seemed that she had to give up the race car today. After she came to her room, Sephora immediately got changed and slumped on her soft

bed.
Maybe because she was too tired, she fell asleep very quickly.
It was already getting dark when Sephora woke up.
“Sephie, it’s time for dinner.”
Before Sephora became wide awake, Christine’s voice came from the
door.
“OK, I’m coming,” Sephora replied.
She sat up and freshened up in the bathroom before she got out of her bedroom.
It was quiet at the table today. Even Bridgette, who often messed around, was oddly silent.
Usually, Bridgette would needle Sephora at the table with sly provocations or act all innocent and whisper sweet poisons about Sephora to Christine and Gerald.
It seemed that what Lowell said at noon was intimidating enough to Bridgette. She had even stopped ruffling Sephora’s feathers.
