Chapter 25 Run Away
Sephora was shell–shocked and Lowell froze. He swiftly recovered and pushed Sephora out of the bathroom.
Outside of the bathroom, Sephora hadn’t wrapped her head around what happened.
Lowell grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist before walking out.
Sephora’s gaze instantly focused on Lowell, taking in Lowell’s handsome features, his dark eyes, his tall nose, and his thin lips. Lowell’s lips were pressed into a line as water dripped off his hair.
Sephora’s gaze moved lower and she saw Lowell’s firm chest and eight packs. Drops of water were sliding down slowly along the muscle.
Lowell’s mermaid line was half–hidden by the white towel around his slim waist, making Sephora want to explore further.
Staring at Lowell’s almost perfect body, Sephora couldn’t help but swallow hard, her gaze glazed.
Sephora thought, “What a body!”
“Ms. Garcia, are you done staring at me?”
A cold voice broke Sephora out of her stupor.
It got Sephora’s attention, but she was still in a daze.
“N–No.”
Chapter 25 Run Away
She extended her dainty hand toward Lowell’s broad chest, feeling it up. Lowell felt the coil in his abdomen tightened.
Lowell pushed his libido down as he never intended to sleep with Sephora that night. To Lowell, Sephora was just a girl. He wasn’t desperate enough to prey on her.
Lowell hurriedly removed Sephora’s hand from his chest. It upset Sephora.
“W–Why did you stop me? You got nothing to lose.”
Lowell didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He picked Sephora up and carried her back to the bed.
“Water… I’m thirsty,” Sephora murmured in Lowell’s arms.
Lowell assumed that was why she woke up. So, he poured her a glass of water after putting her down on the bed.
Sephora fell asleep again after drinking the glass of water. Lowell made sure she was asleep and headed to his study.
The next morning, Sephora woke up with a splitting headache. Looking at the strange room, she was at a loss.
Sephora wondered, “Where am I? Why am I here?” Sephora tried hard. to recall what happened yesterday as she looked at the ornately decorated room.
She remembered being in a bad mood after getting slapped. She slipped out and got drunk in a bar.
Some creepy guy tried to hit her up and got beaten. The man called for help. Another man came over and saved her. Then, he took her away.

That man was Lowell! Eventually, Sephora pieced the whole incident together. As Lowell took her home, this must be his room.
Sephora looked down and was shocked when she saw what she was wearing. Her face paled as she noticed the white shirt obviously belonged to a man.
Sephora thought, “Did Lowell take advantage of me when I was drunk? No way. He doesn’t look like a pervert.”
Sephora hurriedly grabbed the clothes on the bedside table and dashed
into the bathroom.
Soon, she cleaned up and walked out. Sephora glanced at the clock on the wall and realized it was already noon.
Her parents must have noticed she had gone out by now. Sephora planned to slip back into the house later that night. But the night didn’t go as she expected.
Sephora tiptoed out of the room, worrying about running into Lowell. She didn’t know how to face Lowell. Not to mention that she couldn’t
remember what happened between them.
In the living room, Sephora heaved a sigh of relief as there was no sight of Lowell. He probably was at work.
Brock saw Sephora and suggested she stay for lunch. Sephora didn’t want to intrude more and declined.
Brock called the driver over as Sephora was leaving.
Soon, the driver came and took Sephora back to the Levines‘ house.
The Levines‘ house was in chaos. In the morning, a maid went to notify
Chapter 25 Run Away
Sephora that breakfast was ready. But there was no answer whatsoever.
Worried about Sephora, the maid fetched Christine. Christine opened the door of Sephora’s room once she heard the report.
Sephora was nowhere to be found inside her room. The bed wast untouched and the quilt was folded. Looked like Sephora left last night.
Christine grew worried and regretted slapping Sephora in an impulse. She believed Sephora ran away from home because of it.
“What should we do?”
Scared, Christine was close to tears, thinking of all the horrible things that could happen to a young girl at night.
“Mom, calm down. Sephora was new to Frostford. She didn’t know anyone. I bet she’s back to her house.”
Bridgette was hoping Sephora had gone back to the village. It was best that she never returned to Frostford. However, she couldn’t let anyone notice her hostility against Sephora and could only comfort Christine with feigned sympathy.
Bridgette’s words enlightened Christine. She called Gerald and asked him to contact Seymour to see whether Sephora had gone home.
“Run away? No way.”
Seymour was shocked when he received Gerald’s call, saying that Sephora had run away from home.
Seymour knew Sephora. If she felt she was bullied, she’d kick the person out, not running away.

“It’s true. Mom scolded her last night. She went back to her room and
never came out. The maid went to fetch her this morning and found out she wasn’t even in her room.”
Gerald sounded resigned on the phone as he told Seymour what happened.
“Mr. Levine, stay calm. I’m in Frostford for a meeting. I’ll come over to your house now.”
“OK. Thank you.” Gerald felt sorry as Seymour promised to rush over. Yet, he wanted help in finding Sephora and didn’t turn down Seymour’s offer.
