“No way, I couldn’t get out of it.” Britney was also pretty
helpless.
Federico didn’t even get to say a second sentence when someone
came over to toast Britney.

Britney just got her glass when Federico took it away and
clinked glasses with the other person instead. “I’ll drink this for
her, hope you don’t mind?”
The other person probably recognized Federico’s identity and
got really flattered, “Not at all, not at all, Mr. Ortega, hello, I’m
Ivan from United, nice to meet you.”
Britney had been in the mall for seven years, and it was the first
time someone blocked a drink for her.

Rodrick was a really calm person, and he hardly ever showed his emotions.
So, it was because he cared about Bianca and was jealous of Federico that he had this rare moment.

On the other side, Bianca Rodrick and Edward both saw what
Federico did to block drinks for Britney.
Bianca was surprised.

She had felt a bit uncomfortable before when she kept running
into Federico and Britney together.
Now Federico was even openly blocking drinks for Britney,
which made Bianca squint her eyes without realizing it.
Edward was talkative and couldn’t hide what he was thinking,
mumbling, “Why did Rico pour Britney a drink? Are they really
that close?”
He was going to ask Rodrick, but then someone came over to
talk to Rodrick, so he just kept quiet.
I also noticed that Bianca didn’t look so good, so I quickly said,
“Bianca, don’t take it to heart. I always felt like Rico was being
really deliberate, kind of fake.”
“Men get men. Even if you’ve broken up, you still feel possessive
about your ex. So I think Rico just wanted to use Britney to get a
reaction out of you, that’s all.” Edward sounded scornful and
dismissive,
“Besides, after dating better people, how could I still be
interested in losers? Rico’s taste wasn’t that bad, so there was no
need to care about those nobodies.” Edward didn’t hide his
contempt for Britney at all.
Bianca felt a lot better after hearing this.

But I still couldn’t help looking at Rodrick, wanting to see how
he reacted.
Rodrick just saw Federico block drinks for Britney, but he still
chatted with the others like nothing happened.
It seemed like they didn’t really care about Britney.
Bianca’s bad mood was completely gone. She took her drink,
went over and linked arms with Rodrick, joined their chat, and
stopped paying attention to Britney and Federico.
Halfway through the party, Britney didn’t drink another drop
of alcohol, but Federico kept giving her food.
After there was food in my stomach, I felt a lot better and my
mood improved a lot.
Britney was thanking Federico, and Rodrick brought Bianca
over.
These two were like conjoined twins, stuck together the whole
time and never apart.
