Federico showed up by her side at some point. When he saw her
hugging her arms, he took off his jacket and put it on her.
That jacket had warmth in it.
Britney paused a bit and said thank you to him.
Federico looked away from the eye–catching couple on stage
and spoke to Britney in a gentle voice, “Stop looking.”
Britney nodded, “Yeah.”
By the time the party ended, it was already ten at night.
Britney was in charge of the party, so of course she had to stay
till the end.
After seeing off the last group of guests, Britney finally let out a sigh of relief. When she went back to find Katheryn, she accidentally overheard Edward talking.
He asked Rodrick, “Rodrick, do you think Britney really wanted to quit or was she just saying it?”

“She really could leave the company? Why didn’t he believe it?”
After saying that, he didn’t forget to sneer and mock, “You
should’ve just agreed to her back then and see how she’d handle
it! With her personality, even if you agreed, she’d still find a way
to stay. Even if she left, she’d definitely find a way to come
back.”
Britney went around a few people and went to find Katheryn.
When Bianca and Edward came out, they saw Federico waiting
at the door.
Bianca’s eyes lit up, and she greeted Federico, “Rico, you haven’t
left yet?”
Edward said, “Rico was waiting for me, so I didn’t want to be a
third wheel for you two.”
The smile never left Bianca’s face. “You two go ahead, I’ll wait
for Rod, he’ll be out in a minute.”
Before getting in the car, Edward seemed to remember
something and turned to ask Federico, “By the way, Rico, have you decided who you’re taking as your date to the Gnome Gala?
The board members aren’t easy to deal with. If you don’t bring a
date, they’ll definitely try to set you up with someone to get
close to you.”

“But you just got back, you probably didn’t know many people.
Why don’t you go to Bianca? She could be trusted, and it’d look
good too.”
Bianca looked at Federico, still feeling a bit hopeful inside.
There were lots of connections and resources at the Gnome
Gala, and I might have landed a few good projects. It was a good
way to strengthen my position at Royarch Capital.
Also, she hoped Federico would still have feelings for her.
Even though Bianca was the one who brought up the breakup,
she still felt a bit unwilling in her heart.
Because Federico didn’t beg me to stay.
It was like… he didn’t really care about this relationship.
But Edward said she had just gone back to her country, and
Federico came back right after to work here. It was definitely
because of her.
It gave Bianca some more ideas.
But Federico just urged Edward, “Are you coming or not?”
“Let’s go, let’s go, it’s hard to get a ride at this hour.” Edward got in the car right away and waved goodbye to Bianca.

Bianca didn’t get Federico’s invitation, and she still felt a bit
disappointed.
But all that sadness disappeared after Rodrick showed up.
“Rod, it looked like it was going to rain, and it was a bit cold.”
“Well, the driver was almost here.” Rodrick patiently comforted
Bianca.
The driver showed up right on time, and Rodrick opened the car door for Bianca himself.
This rain came really fast.
When Britney and Katheryn came out, it was already raining
hard outside.
