“Before I started a project, I would get a full understanding of it
and analyze it, figure out which ones were worth investing in,
which ones I should keep an eye on, and which ones to give up.

Estela already liked Britney as a person, and now she saw her
professional attitude too, so she agreed right away, “I’m in on
this project!”

up for Britney.

think Rodrick really needed to look into this!” Edward said,

Bianca looked at Britney helplessly, “Britney, I think you should
really explain this to Rod, since you haven’t left the job yet.””
Britney hadn’t said anything yet, Rodrick came over.
“Explain what?”
When Rodrick came over, he glanced at Britney with no

Bianca said, “Edward heard Britney introducing the project to someone else, so he gave a reminder, saying Britney was still at Royarch Capital, and it wasn’t really appropriate. If any
confidential projects from Royarch Capital got leaked, it wouldn’t be good.”
Rodrick didn’t say anything, his deep eyes half–closed, and his whole vibe gave off a cold feeling.
Estela really couldn’t stand it and wanted to speak up for Britney.
Britney grabbed her and said calmly, “Ms. Webster was
overthinking it. The project I talked about with Ms. Baird was the one you already turned down before. I just felt bad for the project team and wanted to help them find new investors. There was no profit involved, so there was no question of whether it was appropriate or not.”
After saying that, she looked at Rodrick again, met his eyes, faced off with him, and didn’t back down at all.
“All these years at Royarch Capital, no one knew me better than Mr. Livingston. If Mr. Livingston really had other concerns, he might as well approve my resignation sooner, so Ms. Webster wouldn’t have to worry for him.”
