Halfway through my Mating Ceremony, my sister Celeste Whitmore suddenly dropped to her knees in front of me and started banging her head on the sacred ground.
“Maeve, please release Alpha Dominic Vance to me. Just as you commanded, I submitted to those thirty rogues. Please, ils
let me go!”
My mate, Silverfang Pack’s Alpha Dominic Blackthorn, completely lost it.
He canceled the ceremony right there. Then Dominic ordered his enforcers to drag me to “Crimson Cavern,” the most notorious punishment territory for disgraced wolves, to “pay for what I’d done.”
For two months, they forced me to serve rogues non–stop while whipping me with silver–tipped ropes, even impairing my ability to shift.
After that, Dominic finally remembered me.
But I just kept my head down, numbly kneeling at his feet, skillfully took off my clothes…
When I limped out of Crimson Cavern, Dominic was already waiting outside.

Dominic paused, lips curling with annoyance.
Hearing his familiar voice, I automatically dropped to my knees before Dominic and began began unbottoning my clothes.
During those two monthes, my cell was filled with Dominic’s photos. His dominant growls played on repeat day and night. Meanwhile, different rogues took turns coming to fuck me.
Eventually, I’d start undressing whenever I heard Dominic’s voice.
I was already used to it.
By the third button, Dominic suddenly slapped my hand away and gripped my chin, forcing me to look at him.
“Maeve Mooncrest, are you fucking insane?”
I flinched uncontrollably, remembering the silver lashings for disobedience. I lowered myself further with a trembling whine.
“Please don’t slap me. Please… I’ll be good. You can do whatever you want with me…I was wrong. I shouldn’t hurt anyone. I’m sorry…‘ Dominic stared at me in shock, then something dawned on him, and disgust filled his eyes.
“What the hell are you playing at now?! Are you faking this pathetic display? You just spent two moon cycles in Crimson Cavern. Nobody would dare truly harm an Alpha’s chosen mate. Cut the act, Maeve!”
Jason doubled over laughing, cruelly gripping my neck in a dominant hold before pointing his phone at my face again.
“Maeve, such an amazing performance! Even taking your clothes off, huh? Come on, do it for my livestream! Let all the territories see our little Luna princess’s nude!”
Before my time in Crimson Cavern, I would have ripped out Jason’s throat for such an insult.
Now, I just mechanically continued unbuttoning my clothes, forcing a vacant smile for the camera,
The old Maeve had been destroyed during those two monthes by Dominic.
When I first arrived at Crimson Cavern, I smashed a camera that was filming me, which got me locked in silver chains for three straight days before they dumped me in the outer territories.

I was so hungry that I fought with scavenger wolves over hunting scraps.
Lucky once. After a dominant rogue fell asleep, I stole his phone and called Dominic, begging him to save me.
He just coldly said, “Maeve, you were so disobedient. Compared to what you did to Celeste, this is just a small taste of discipline. You deserve it all.”
I broke down howling, then heard a soft, sweet feminine whimper on the other end.
“Dominic, maybe… just forget it. I’m fine. My reputation is ruined anyway. }}
Later did I learn they’d formed their own mate bond in my absence. Countless intimate photos were printed, thrown in my face, and plastered all over my cell.
A constant reminder that Gallum didn’t love me.
I finished unbuttoning everything. Jason’s laughter grew more suggestive. He read all nasty comments from other packs watching the livestream.
Dominic struck me across the face. The hit snapped me out of my trance.
Dominic’s face turned ashen. Dark fury filled his eyes.
“Maeve! What the hell are you doing? You’ve completely lost your pride as a Mooncrest. Would you strip naked right now if I asked you to?”
“Where’s that fiery you used to have? I was just trying to teach you a lesson–you don’t need to put on this pathetic act! Where’s that Alpha female strength you used to have?”
