Hendrix stood outside the main bedroom, his chest tightening with an uneasy feeling he couldn’t explain.
As he slowly opened the door, his eyes widened in disbelief.
The wardrobe was flung open, but not a single piece of her clothing remained. On the vanity table, the perfumes and jewelry boxes were all gone.
His heart sank. He rushed into the study and yanked open a drawer. Her passport, ID, bank cards–anything that proved she had been there were gone.
Refusing to accept what he feared the most, he grabbed his phone and dialed David again. “Find out where Alexandra went. Search everything and don’t miss a thing.”
David immediately responded. For a few moments, only the sound of rapid typing filled the silence.
Time had never moved more slowly for Hendrix.
Then, David’s hesitant voice came through. “Mr. Sanchez, Ms. Norton’s identity information… has been cancelled.”
“Alexandra had erased her identity?” he thought in panic. What had happened while he was away?

He gripped the necklace tightly, his knuckles turned pale, and the taste of blood surged in his throat.
Then, something clicked in his mind. He grabbed the video timeline and dragged it back,

Elizabeth’s smile was so obvious. It was like she was laughing at him.
He stared at the unfamiliar face, and his breathing became faster.
Meanwhile, his phone lit up again.
“Mr. Sanchez, the hospital-” David’s voice came through the line, but Hendrix cut him off.
“Get the car. I’ll go there right away,” he said, voice rough and cold.
The sound of tires screeching followed.

“Relax. He won’t figure it out. I already erased her hospital records… Yes, the villa’s cameras were wiped too. Serves her right for not knowing what’s good for her…” Every sentence felt like a dagger, stabbing at the last bit of denial Hendrix had been holding onto.
The ward door burst open.
