Chapter 2
The Bentley car drove into the villa area slowly.
At midnight. Dylan’s phone rang.
Carolyn saw the caller ID. Cute Lana.
Dylan declined the call with his slender finger. Soon, he stood up and left
in a hurry.
Carolyn walked to the window.
In the endless dark, the Bentley car left.
Carolyn called her mother. Leslie Fowler.
“Mom, I’ve made up my mind. I accept the arranged marriage between us and the Rioux family. I will go back in seven days and get the marriage
certificate with him as soon as I land.
Leslie could guess what Carolyn had gone through. She comforted. Carolyn and told Carolyn patiently, “Are you sure? Carol, our family is not as powerful as before. This arranged marriage is serious. Although the Rioux family and the Brassard family are far apart, they have been enemies for generations.
“If you accept the arranged marriage, the Rioux family may ask you to cut ties with the Brassard family completely.”
Carolyn lowered her beautiful eyes.
Six years ago, the Sutton family moved their headquarters abroad after their business expanded. Then, they lived abroad.
But soon, the Sutton family came across an economic crisis. The Rioux family was also abroad and wanted to have an arranged marriage with the Sutton family. They requested many times.
But Carolyn’s parents knew that Carolyn liked Dylan. They didn’t want to sacrifice their daughter’s marriage for their business.
Now that Carolyn wanted to cut ties with Dylan, marrying into the Rioux family was her best choice.
“Mom, I’m sure. I don’t want to see Dylan anymore!”
On the other end of the phone, Leslie paused for a while and said, “OK. Your dad and I will talk about the arranged marriage with the Rioux family tomorrow.”
Carolyn didn’t sleep that night.
The next morning, Dylan didn’t come back but only sent Carolyn a
message.
This book had been added on your bookshelf.
“Carol, I have some work to deal with. I’ll be on a business trip for three days.”
Carolyn didn’t reply. She booked a flight to France which would depart seven days later.
Carolyn began to pack her stuff. She had been living with Dylan these years and had a lot of stuff.
Now that the Sutton family was going through a crisis, Carolyn tried to sell as many things as possible online.
At night, a message from a stranger popped up.
“Hello, Carolyn!”
Carolyn checked it. The profile was a pregnancy test report confirming
15520
!
the recent pregnancy. The nickname was “Lana Feels Happy“.
Alana just created this private account.
Alana didn’t dare to tell people that she was pregnant, and she only followed Carolyn.
A minute later, Alana shared with Carolyn her new post. It was a photo of Dylan accompanying her to the maternity checkup.
Alana posted, “Wow! The perfect dad who is gentle, considerate, and super rich!”
Carolyn knew what Alana wanted. She liked the post and left a comment, “You got my bone marrow. Now that you’ve recovered, you come to provoke me. Alana Ricard, do you enjoy hurting others?”
The next day, Carolyn went to say goodbye to her friends. On her way, she brought her articles of luxury to the buyers.
On her way home, Carolyn received another post shared by Alana..
It was still a few photos. This time, Dylan was picking maternity clothes.
with Alana.
Pink, white… Every piece of maternity clothes looked pretty.
Alana also replied to Carolyn’s last comment arrogantly.
“I didn’t beg you to give your bone marrow to me. Dylan was worried about me, so he forced me to accept it.”
Carolyn sneered and replied with a question mark.
The next day, Carolyn sold the dozens of shirts, shoes, and watches that she bought as gifts for Dylan over the years.
Alana shared another post.
Chapter 2
This time, Dylan booked a super expensive pregnancy care center for Alana.
Alana’s post was arrogant. “What can I do? I’m just so lucky.”
In the afternoon, Dylan finally came back.
Dylan saw the empty bedroom and a pink luggage case that showed up. abruptly. He frowned. “Why is our place empty? Where are the shirts your bought for me? Why did you buy a luggage case all of a sudden?”
Carolyn lowered her pretty eyes and found an excuse. “The styles of those shirts are too old. I threw them away. I want to travel recently, but maybe
not.”
Dylan had thought that Carolyn was angry because he hadn’t come back for three days. He had prepared a purchase contract for a limited. Lamborghini supercar. “I’ve been busy with work these days. I bought a supercar for you. Let’s pick up the car together later.”
Carolyn looked at the purchase contract.
Carolyn didn’t like bags but supercars.
Carolyn set her sights on this Lamborghini supercar recently.
Dylan customized the color to be black and pink. That was Carolyn’s favorite.
As for the pattern on the seats, Dylan picked Doraemon because it was Carolyn’s favorite cartoon character.
Dylan knew what Carolyn liked so well.
If Carolyn hadn’t heard Dylan’s conversation with Sheryl at the door of the ward, she would have been so moved.
“Thanks.”

Carolyn put the purchase contract to the side. Dylan frowned, got closer, and pinched her delicate face.
“Are you still mad? There’s a party tonight. I’ll bring you there to relax.”
Carolyn wanted to refuse, but Dylan held her hand and brought her downstairs.
The Bentley car drove for a while. Dylan’s phone rang. It was from Cute
Lana.
Carolyn couldn’t hear what they said. She only vaguely heard Alana say, “Help! Dylan, help me!”
