Chapter 6
Dylan’s expression changed dramatically. He quickly walked towards. Carolyn. When he was about to hold her, Alana suddenly squatted down, crying with tears streaming down her face. “Dylan, my stomach hurts so much, help me go upstairs to take a rest.”
Dylan paused for a moment, then stopped trying to hold Carolyn. He turned to pick up Alana.
He let Carolyn’s head fall heavily to the ground, looked at William, and left only one sentence, “William, take Carolyn to the hospital.”
When Carolyn woke up again, she saw a pair of worried black eyes.
Dylan saw her wake up and hurriedly called a doctor. After making sure she was OK, Dylan let out a sigh of relief.
Carolyn noticed that there was a bracelet on her left hand.
It seemed to be the one Dylan usually wore.
Dylan’s assistant was standing by, smiling and saying, “Mrs. Brassard, you’ve been unconscious for a while. Mr. Brassard was so worried that he gave you the bracelet he had worn for more than ten years. He went to the church to pray for you last night. He said as long as you wake up safely, he would only cat vegetarian food for the rest of his life, and live away from alcohol or cigarettes.”
Carolyn frowned and took off the bracelet on her wrist with disdain. She handed it to Dylan. “No need to change your habits for me.”
Dylan didn’t take it. He put the bracelet back on Carolyn’s wrist and said. gently, “Carol, during the time when I was disabled, you also prayed for
me.”

Carolyn’s heart trembled slightly.
In the second year after Dylan was disabled, she went to a church in Boston and prayed for Dylan.
That day, she made a wish. She was willing to give up everything for Dylan’s health.
And Dylan also made a wish at that time. He wished to marry Carolyn in five years.
When Carolyn saw Dylan make that wish, her eyes turned red, and Dylan hugged and comforted her for a long time.
Dylan only liked Carolyn during that period, but his love lasted too short.
After all, only when Alana was not around, Dylan would like Carolyn.
Now that Alana was back, Dylan would no longer focus on Carolyn.
Carolyn looked at Dylan’s expectant face, her eyes slightly drooping. “I’m a bit tired.”
When she woke up again, it was already afternoon.
Carolyn got up and wanted to ask the doctor when she could be discharged.
Before she could open the door, she heard Dylan and Sheryl’s conversation in the hallway.
“When are you and Carol planning to hold the wedding?” Sheryl asked. with doubt.
Dylan frowned slightly and said lightly, “I talked to her last time. I plan to hold the wedding at the end of the month.”

prepare a good bride’s gifts. Carol has already given her bone marrow to Alana. We can’t treat her badly.”
Sheryl thought of something and she continued, “By the way, you are getting married this month, and I heard that someone in the Rioux family is also getting married soon, and the bride is also named Carolyn…”
Hearing this, Carolyn hurriedly opened the door.
She coughed lightly, and the two instantly stopped talking.
That evening, the doctor said that she could be discharged.
After returning home, Carolyn received a friend request from Colin Rioux.
Carolyn blinked, thinking it might be the person she was going to marry, and she clicked to accept the request.
Just after accepting, Colin sent a list of the bride’s gifts.
The list was filled with many gift items, and Carolyn glanced at it, feeling that the number of gifts was overwhelming.
Then, Colin sent two more messages.
“This is the bride’s gift list. Take a look and see if you’re satisfied.”
“I heard from Leslie that your flight is the day after tomorrow. I’ll pick you up at the airport with Leslie early in the morning.”
Carolyn thought for a few seconds and replied, “The gifts are enough, thank you.”
Colin didn’t respond again.
All night, Dylan tried to make conversation with Carolyn.
But Carolyn remained unenthusiastic.
Dylan thought she was still upset about the previous incident.
To cheer her up, he had his assistant prepare a pre–wedding party the next day.
