Chapter 7
The next day, everyone in the circle knew that this was Dylan’s pre- wedding party, and many people came that evening.
When Carolyn arrived at the party, Dylan held her waist and handed her two car purchase contracts.
He first handed a contract to Carolyn. His black eyes were deep. “I always felt that the old sports car didn’t suit you, so I ordered a new one for you.
After a pause, he handed the old Lamborghini purchase contract to Alana and said softly, “Lana, this car was bought for Carolyn. Now that she has a new one, you can take this one. Hope you don’t mind.”
Alana happily took the purchase contract. She almost couldn’t hide her smile. “It doesn’t matter. Today, Carolyn is the most important person at the party.”
It was obvious that Dylan gave Alana the Lamborghini because it was a national limited edition.
The new sports car bought for Carolyn was just an ordinary and slightly expensive car.
The guests couldn’t help but gossip in whispers, “Is Dylan going to marry Carolyn? Why is he giving a gift to Alana?”
“It’s just an excuse. He just wants to give that national limited edition to Alana.”
“Who doesn’t know how much Carolyn loves cars? Alana is trying to make Carolyn unhappy, right?”
“I heard Alana’s racing skills are amazing. I have some insider news. She
is the famous racing driver Soundless. Dylan started liking her because Soundless saved his life on the race track…”
Carolyn sat in the corner, quietly listening to everyone’s conversation, her eyebrows slightly furrowed.
Soundless?
“Isn’t that me?” Carolyn thought.
Before Carolyn could figure it out, many people around already finished talking and came over to Alana with glasses of wine, all flattering her.
“Alana, Dylan is so good to you. He gave you such an expensive sports car as a gift.”
“Your white dress looks really nice. It makes you look like a real princess.”
“I heard your racing skills are amazing. You’re really gorgeous and also cool. You and Dylan are a perfect match!”
More and more people went to flatter Alana, and everyone forgot that the main character today was Carolyn.
An hour later, a lively bustle began at the party. Everyone began to sing or play games.
Dylan sat next to Alana all the time. His gaze always followed her.
Alana wanted some crab. Dylan patiently coaxed her, lowering his voice, “You’re pregnant. You can’t cat that. I’ll buy it for you after the child is born.”
Alana looked at him with teary eyes. Dylan sighed, took out an unlimited. black card from his wallet, and handed it to her.
This unlimited black card quickly caused a buzzing.

“No way! Dylan still can’t forget Alana, right?”
“Well, they say a man’s current girlfriend could never compare to his first love. It’s so true.”
Amidst the buzzing, Carolyn sat quietly in the corner.
She was scrolling through her phone as if the buzzing around her had nothing to do with her.
Alana glanced around, and her eyes fell on Carolyn in the corner. She walked over in high heels, looking very pleased. “Today is your and Dylan’s pre–wedding party, but I stole the spotlight. You must be very unhappy, right?
“But you can only grit your teeth and endure it. After all, even if you stayed with Dylan through the toughest five years, what’s the point? As long as I come back, the person he loves the most is still me.”
Carolyn knew that Alana wanted to make her angry, but her tears already. dried up the day she was discharged from the hospital.
Alana saw that Carolyn was silent, her eyes filled with a cold look.
Her gaze fell on the jade bracelet on Carolyn’s wrist. A flash of jealousy appeared in her eyes, and she suddenly snatched it.
“Are you crazy? What do you want to do?”
Carolyn tried to snatch it back, but Alana held it tightly.
She rubbed the jade bracelet, her eyes flashing with jealousy. “I heard that this is a gift from Mrs. Brassard, right?”
Carolyn stared at her. She was about to speak, but Alana suddenly stuffed the bracelet into her mouth, ripping the corner of her mouth and pulling out a trail of blood.

Bright red blood dripped from the corner of her mouth, and Alana fell weakly to the ground, the jade bracelet also falling.
She wailed, “Carolyn, I just thought the bracelet Madam Brassard gave you was nice. Why did you suddenly stuff it into my mouth? It hurts…”
Before Carolyn could react, a black figure flashed in front of her, and she was pushed away.
Carolyn fell heavily, hitting the table with a huge cake.
The wound on her head split again, blood seeped out.
The cake slid down onto Carolyn. It was sticky.
It was hurt. Carolyn’s eyes welled up with tears. She looked up and saw Dylan rushing over.
