Perceiving Valentina’s hesitation, Osvaldo asked, “What’s the matter?”
“I may not be at home tomorrow. I need to go out and buy something,

She needed to go out to prepare the dress for the charity night the day
after tomorrow.
“You need to rest.” Osvaldo suggested.

Valentina put away her mobile phone and then headed to the bedroom.

In the luxurious and elegant large study in Peninsula Villa, Osvaldo set
down the phone.
Less than a minute later, the phone rang again.
The caller ID implied that it was Nevaeh’s call.
“Grandma.”
Osvaldo answered calmly and leaned back on the chair behind him. “Why are you still up so late?“.
“I’ve been calling you, but you didn’t answer. I asked Tobias to leave you a message, but you didn’t reply either. I have been so worried. How could I fall asleep?”
Nevaeh’s voice came from the phone.
Osvaldo remained silent, prompting Nevaeh to continue helplessly, “You and Cecilia…”
“There’s nothing to explain. If the Fredericks want an explanation, let them ask their daughter.”
As soon as Osvaldo finished, Nevaeh sighed.
“Well, it was your grandfather’s fault for playing a matchmaker. Don’t take it to heart. The day after tomorrow, Mr. Russell and his granddaughter are coming. Come back for a visit…”
