Chapter 3
Jocelynn did not doubt love, but love was ever–changing.
Not to mention it lasted for four
years.
This relationship had already gone sour, she should have realized it earlier.
Unfortunately, love makes people blind.
She found a large cardboard box and then opened the wall full of storage cabinets.
The cabinet was filled with the bits and pieces of their past love.
The dolls that they made together on the rainy days at home, the handmade pottery, and the handmade buttons and bead strings.
The entire wall of photos was a clear trace of their four years of dating.
From the sweet embrace at the beginning to the later staged poses just for show.
She didn’t even know when Trevor had started to change his heart.
Jocelynn took a deep breath, wiped the corners of her reddened eyes, and then proceeded to throw everything from the cabinet, one by one, into the cardboard box.
And those photos on the wall were also all torn down.
The yellowed gum stock on the white wall was shocking to the eye, just like her mottled and broken heart.
As Jocelynn tidied up, she reminisced, and the sky gradually grew darker.
She carried a large cardboard box and threw it into the downstairs garbage station, then she lay on the sofa to rest, exhausted.
I’m not sure how long had passed when the sound of the door opening was heard.
Trevor entered the house and turned on the living room light.
Seeing the woman curled up on the sofa, he quickly walked over.
“Jocelynn, why are you sleeping in the living room? What will you do if you catch a cold?”
His worries and nervousness were written all over his face, with no hint of pretense.
Jocelynn stared at him blankly for three seconds before slowly averting her gaze.
“I was cleaning the house today and accidentally fell asleep.”
Upon hearing her words, Trevor instinctively glanced around the room.
Looking around, I noticed that the house had indeed changed.
“Did you lose a lot of things? It feels like you’ve lost quite a few.”
Upon hearing his words, Jocelynn nodded lightly.
“Graduated, it’s time to get rid of some old things and replace them with new ones.”
Graduation season is not only a season of letting go but also a season of breaking up.
Things that belong to the past should be thrown away, and every trace of past love will also be cleared away, leaving no trace.
“Okay, let’s go shopping together later and redecorate our little nest.”
Trevor nodded and didn’t pay much attention to this matter.
Jocelynn looked at his indifferent expression, her breath slightly catching.

If he had been more careful and taken a closer look, he would have noticed that many of the missing items were their couple items and love mementos, which were impossible to lose.
But he was busy replying to the messages on his phone and didn’t pay attention to anything.
Yes, indeed, his mind was filled with Miranda, not noticing these changes.
“Ding”
Trevor’s phone lit up.
He lowered his gaze and glanced, and his expression suddenly changed.
“Jocelynn, today is our anniversary, why didn’t you remind me? Did you forget too?”
Jocelynn then realized that it was a reminder set in his phone, which made this man remember what day it was today.
Listening to Trevor’s complaints, she felt a bit heavy–hearted.
“I didn’t remind you because I saw you were too busy.”
I reminded him in the morning, but how could someone who was absent–minded understand it clearly?
Trevor looked at focelynn’s indifferent expression and felt a faint sense of unease in his heart.
“Baby, today was my fault… Let’s make it up properly another day, just like we used to, with a grand and ceremonial anniversary celebration.”
He held Jocelynn’s hand and coaxed her gently, his tone carrying a hint of appeasement.
Just then, his phone rang again.
This time, it was a WhatsApp voice call from “Sailor Moon“.
He instinctively rejected the incoming call, but Miranda kept dialing in.
Watching Trevor’s guilty expression flicker, Jocelynn gave him an out.
“You answer the phone first, just in case there is an emergency in the laboratory.”
Anyway, every time he had to go out temporarily in the past, the excuse he used was always that something was going on in the
laboratory.
This time, Jocelynn took the initiative to speak out his excuses, to prevent him from deceiving himself once again.
Trevor hesitated for a moment and quickly went to the balcony to answer the phone.
After he came back, he looked at Jocelynn with a calm expression on her face and gently hugged her.
“Baby still understands me the best. There was an urgent matter in the laboratory, so I went to handle it. Please hurry up and complete
this project.”
“When I am not busy, I will take you to celebrate our anniversary. I will bring you to stay in a castle and make you feel like the happiest
little princess.”
Jocelynn sidestepped his embrace, lowered her eyes, and nodded.
“Okay.”
Without any mood, I responded casually.
She had long given up hope on his promises.
Just when Instagram had a red dot, Jocelynn still instinctively clicked on it.

Miranda posted a new update.
The accompanying image depicts the silhouette of Trevor drinking milk tea during his break in the laboratory.
“Drinking the same cup of milk tea with your crush was more ambiguous than kissing.”
