Chapter 15 Not Enough
Early the next morning, Kaitlin called Giselle and said Damion and his family were facing some problems with their company’s capital chain.
Giselle instantly realized it must have had something to do with Fabian.
Her worry had come true–Fabian had made a move against Damion.
She went to the Mercado Group to wait for Fabian without having breakfast.
Fabian was punctual and would always arrive at the company before. 8:30 a.m. However, she waited from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and he was still nowhere to be seen. And he wasn’t answering her calls either.
The security guard told her he had taken the exclusive passage today.
She couldn’t see him even if she waited all day.
“I need to see Fabian!” Giselle was already irritated. She skipped. breakfast and was starving, which made her stomach even more. uncomfortable.
“I’m sorry, Ma’am. But you can’t go inside without an appointment.”
Few knew that she and Fabian were married, so the security guard refused to let her in.
“Really? Do I need an appointment to see him? Could you call the receptionist? Tell her my name is Giselle, and I’m here to see Fabian.”
Since she had been waiting all morning, the security guard sighed and called the receptionist, who said no directly.
“Mr. Mercado is swamped every day. Who knows who she is? No one is allowed to enter without an appointment.”
But Giselle had lost all her patience and barged in directly.
“Stop her! Is she crazy? How dare she barge in here just like this?”
She ignored the exclamations and walked straight into Fabian’s exclusive elevator.
Seeing this, the others hesitated. They knew Fabian was a neat freak, and he never allowed anyone to use his private elevator.
The receptionist immediately called Braxton, telling him to stop Giselle. Who knew what Giselle might do? She might hurt Fabian.
Fabian’s office was on the top floor. Giselle stormed toward it, only to hear Tatiana’s delicate chuckle.
She thought, “Great timing, Giselle. You picked the exact time when Tatiana is here.
“Did Fabian take her up through the exclusive passage? How special. she is.”
Tatiana smiled at her, “Hey, Giselle. Don’t get me wrong–Fabian gave me a job here, and I’m here to work.”
Giselle thought, “Get her wrong? About what? Screwing around with Fabian in his office during work hours? I don’t give a damn about that anymore. He and I are getting divorced anyway.”
She stood at the office door, not sure if she should come inside.
“Tatiana, you may go downstairs now. I’ll have Braxton take you to complete the onboarding procedures,” Fabian said.
Tatiana nodded with a gentle smile.
Then he walked over to Giselle. “Your face is better. Are you still feeling dizzy?”
Giselle seemed so pitiful, and he subconsciously reached out, wanting to hug her.
But after waiting downstairs all morning, Giselle was in a bad mood. She pushed him away.
“Why are you here in such a hurry?” Fabian closed the door to the CEO’s Office.
He was expecting her. In fact, he had long seen her standing downstairs through the surveillance camera.
“About the Bradley Group–were you behind it? Fabian, there’s nothing going on between Damion and me, Could you leave him out of this? He has never done anything wrong and shouldn’t be dragged into
this.”
Fabian thought, “She’s here for Damion indeed. Does he matter to her
that much?
“I didn’t believe Mom when she told me about Damion and Giselle last night. But it seems she’s right.”
His eyes darkened. “Giselle, am I not enough for you?”
Chapter 16 Have Some Shame
“Gigi, I do have a bottom line. You shouldn’t have gotten together with Damion before our divorce was finalized.” It was the first time Fabian had said to Giselle so sternly because she had really crossed his line.
“What about you, Mr. Mercado? What’s your relationship with Tatiana?” Giselle smiled bitterly. He had brought Tatiana back and kicked her out before the divorce was finalized. Did he really think of
her as his wife?
Fabian never bothered to explain himself to anyone, so he remained silent while being questioned by Giselle.
In her eyes, it was him acknowledging his affair with Tatiana.
Bitterness washed over her as she thought, “Maybe divorce is for the best. After all, our marriage was never equal from the start.”
She said, “Target me however you want, Mr. Mercado. But please leave Damion out of this.”
“Giselle, don’t flatter yourself. I don’t bother to deal with the Wagner Group. It’d be such a waste of my time,” Fabian said coldly.
“So, you instructed someone to do it. Fabian, how could you be so merciless? Damion and I are friends. That’s all. He doesn’t deserve.
this.”
“Is this how you beg for help? Accusing me of things I never did? Do you really think this is the way to ask someone for favors?”
Chapter in
“What do you want?” Giselle elenched her fists nervously.
“You, Gigi. We haven’t officially divorced yet. You’re mine. Only mine!” Fabian wrapped his arm around her slender waist and put her on the desk.
He did so eagerly, and the files on the desk were all swept to the floor. Kissed by him fiercely, Giselle almost found it hard to breathe.
“Not here…….” Feeling ashamed, she covered her body, blushing.
They were in his office, and someone might come in at any second. She didn’t want to be seen like this.
However, Fabian’s sanity was long gone due to lust, and he ignored her pleading.
Just then, someone knocked on the door. Instantly, Giselle struggled even harder.
“Let go, Fabian! You’re hurting me.”
“Mr. Mercado? Are you busy? I’ve arranged for Ms. Wagner to be an intern in the Administration Department. Is that OK?” Braxton asked
outside the door.
“Piss off!” Fabian snapped.
“OK, Mr. Mercado. Sorry, Mr. Mercado.” Braxton was terrified.
Fabian vented all out on Giselle, even ruining her shirt and pants. There was no way she could leave his office like this.
Frowning, Fabian handed her a set of his clothes from his lounge.
”
His oversized shirt draped past her hips, showcasing her slender legs, which were captivating.
His Adam’s apple bobbed as he turned around and poured himself a cup of coffee.
“Stay away from Damion, or there will be consequences,” he warned.
After getting dressed, Giselle left without looking back.
Tatiana stopped her outside the office. “Wait, Giselle. You can wear my clothes. It’s a bit inappropriate that you wear Fabian’s clothes walking around, don’t you think?”
Giselle ignored her.
But she wouldn’t give up. “My clothes are all brand–new, Giselle. Fabian got them for me, and I haven’t even worn them once.”
Giselle turned around and looked at her. “Save the things Fabian bought for you. I’m his wife, so even if I walk out of here in his clothes, no one will say anything. But you? You’ve been clinging to a married man. Have some shame! If you wanna be with him, you’re gonna have to wait till our divorce is finalized. Before that, you’re just a shameless homewrecker.”
Tatiana was rendered totally speechless.
