Chapter 12 Is He Your Brother?
It should’ve been a decision made long ago, yet Eliezer hesitated at that
moment.
After a pause, he replied softly, “Mm, I don’t go back on my word.”
Jaelyn broke into a tearful smile and threw herself into Eliezer’s arms.
“I’m relieved. I’ll never make mistakes again. I’ll apologize to my sister someday, okay?”
Eliezer stiffened, frowning slightly. “Mm.”
Jaelyn let go and smiled sweetly, “Then go on home, Eliezer. I’ll take my medicine and get better.”
“Mm.” Eliezer gave her a look and turned to leave.
The moment he disappeared from view, the sweet smile on Jaelyn’s innocent face vanished instantly.
“That bitch! We would’ve kicked her out back then! She embarrassed me in front of Eliezer today! And there were so many people watching! What
a curse!”
“Alright, that bitch and Eliezer are divorced anyway. Soon, you’ll marry into the Woodward family. There’s no point being upset over Lindsey.” Cassic consoled her.
Jaclyn huffed coldly, grievance rising in her voice.
“If it weren’t for you saying that driving her out would damage the Oconnell family’s reputation, she wouldn’t have got the chance to marry Eliezer. She stole the identity that was supposed to be mine, and you still

couldn’t bear to kick her out!”
“It’s not that I couldn’t bear it. Nathaniel liked her. I had to consider the bigger picture.”
Cassie wasn’t feeling any better herself. She’d raised a girl for over ten years who had no blood relation to them. She didn’t like it at all.
She only kept Lindsey because Nathaniel liked Lindsey, and she was afraid that kicking Lindsey out would make him call off the marriage.
The Oconnell family had raised Lindsey, and now she had the nerve to turn around and bite the hand that fed her. What an ungrateful little
snake!
“But now Nathaniel is dead, and Eliezer has been great to you these past three years. This marriage is practically a done deal. You just got too anxious tonight. You shouldn’t have personally hired someone to mess with her. Be more careful from now on. No matter what happens, don’t get your hands dirty again, understand?”
Jaelyn pouted, “I just wanted some safety insurance.”
She’d failed twice now. She didn’t know how Lindsey got those thuggish helpers, but they bailed Lindsey out every time.
Seeing that Cassie still wanted to say more, Jaelyn clung to her arm and said sweetly. “Alright, Mom. Once I marry Eliezer, there won’t be any more drama. I only sent those guys tonight to make sure she wouldn’t have a chance to bounce back. I won’t do it again. Besides, Eliezer didn’t even say anything about it.”
“Just because he didn’t say anything doesn’t mean he’s not thinking something.”
Cassie said earnestly, “Over the next few days, go be sweet and pitiful around Eliezer like you used to. Got it?”
Jaelyn nodded. “Got it. Thanks, Mom.”

Outside the villa, Lindsey immediately spotted a flashy red sports car parked by the road and a man in a pink floral shirt leaning against it.
Instantly, she was reluctant to approach.
But it was too late.
Brayden Richmond looked up right then, grabbed a giant bouquet of bright red roses from the passenger seat, and strode straight toward her.
With a dazzling grin, he said, “Happy birthday, my little princess!”
Lindsey’s scalp tingled. She forced a smile as she accepted the flowers. “If you weren’t my brother, I’d pretend I didn’t know you.”
“Hey, that hurts my feelings!”
Brayden scowled, then solemnly explained, “This red car is for celebrating your rebirth. It’s bright and festive, don’t you think? And the roses? Because you like them. It’s the first time I’ve given flowers to anyone. You should feel honored!”
Lindsey burst out laughing, “Alright, thank you, Brayden!”
She didn’t forget to say goodbye to Tamia.
“Ms. Patrick, my brother’s here to pick me up. I’ll head off first.”
Behind her, Tamia was dumbfounded.
The moment she saw who brought the flowers, she froze.
“He’s your brother?”
Brayden was the CEO of Lunaris Entertainment, the man behind almost every top–tier celebrity in recent years. Their company’s very first movie had grossed 4 billion at the box office and ranked third in history! Not to mention their other achievements. One of their early TV dramas was still wildly popular online, with fans analyzing it to death!
Tamia had dreamed of signing with that company. And now, the big boss was standing right in front of her.
And he was the brother of this “poor girl“?
