Lindsey’s face turned red with anger, she quickly lifted her skirt to cover her embarrassment, her voice tinged with a hint of tears, “Get out of the way!”
Eliezer looked up at her reddened eyes, took a step back, “I’m sorry.”
Lindsey had no intention of accepting his apology, not even wanting to look at him, she tightened her handbag and disappeared into the bathroom.
Dog man!
She cursed angrily in her heart.
If he hadn’t suddenly gone crazy at the entrance of the women’s restroom, she wouldn’t have ended up like this, and also ruined one of her skirts.
She thought she could quickly return to the lounge, without even taking her phone, so there was no way to contact Brayden to ask him to bring a clean set of clothes over.
I had to go out with a stiff upper lip, luckily only a little bit of the place got dirty.
Coming out of the bathroom, the first thing Lindsey saw was that tall figure, and her face immediately turned ugly.
Eliezer had been waiting for her at the bathroom door, his black suit draped over his strong arms, the white shirt and vest underneath adding a touch of elegance.
He heard a sound, turned around, saw Lindsey coming out, took a step towards her, and handed her the suit in his hand.
Lindsey glared at him.
Eliezer probably felt guilty and didn’t say anything more offensive, “Put it on, even if you haven’t dirtied your clothes, it’s good to keep warm.”
Although her dress was not completely backless, the thin layer of chiffon did make it easy to feel a chill.
After a moment’s thought, Lindsey reached out and took it. “You ruined one of my dresses, I took one of your suits, we’re even now. I hope Mr. Woodward will come to me next time because the divorce has been settled, not for any other reason.
She coolly dropped these words and walked away in high heels.
“Lindsey, did you have to talk to me like that?”
The fire that had just extinguished in Eliezer’s heart reignited, and he asked quietly beside her.
Lindsey didn’t even look back, she went straight ahead, “Mr. Woodward, how do you think I should talk to you? Is there anything else to discuss between us besides divorce?”
She couldn’t understand why he had the nerve to come and talk to her about all this nonsense.
Liking him and wanting to marry him was her past stupidity, now she has come to her senses and is divorcing him according to his wishes, avoiding him and Jaelyn, what more does she want?
She was about to turn towards the lounge, but as she turned around, the path was blocked.
Chapter21
Eliezer, with his long legs, took three or four steps and stood in front of her. His tall figure directly blocked her way. “Since you think there’s nothing to talk about, then come home with me!”
He had no more patience to listen to her rambling, he grabbed her wrist with a stern face.
Rarely, Lindsey did not struggle.
She raised a smile on her face, tilted her head and looked at him, “Go home with you? So, Mr. Woodward, may I ask, in what capacity am I going home with you? Are you sure that is my home?”
The sarcasm in her eyes resurfaced, piercing and painful.
There was a moment when Eliezer suddenly thought to just let it go.
Not getting divorced, just living with her like this for a lifetime, doesn’t seem too bad, at least I can refute her words, with a legitimate reason to make her go home.
But that thought was only a moment.
He looked into those eyes with a cold smile, unconsciously tightening his grip: “Until the divorce is finalized, you are still my wife, is that clear?”
Lindsey nodded earnestly, “So, Mr. Woodward, do you admit to this marriage? Do I still have to call you husband until the divorce is finalized?”
She deliberately called that name with an extra sweet tone.
Eliezer in front of him was stunned, not even stepping back when Lindsey approached him, allowing her to come closer.
He didn’t mind her getting close either.
Lindsey looked at him seriously: “But honey, if I call you like this, won’t your sweetheart be angry?”
Eliezer’s Adam’s apple bobbed, “Lindsey, you go home with me first, the rest of the things…”
“Eliezer…”
No sooner had the words fallen from his lips than he was interrupted by a pitiful voice from behind.
Eliezer was taken aback, then saw Lindsey in his arms smiling even more.
She didn’t move, letting him grab her wrist, her petite body almost leaning against him.
