Chapter 6
When Liora opened her eyes again, that all–too–familiar, stinging scent of disinfectant greeted her.
She had been in the hospital for two days, enduring multiple rounds of gastric lavage.
Greg still hadn’t shown up.
It wasn’t until nightfall that a dark silhouette approached the bedside.
Dressed head to toe in black, Greg stood over her, a trace of concern flashing in his dark eyes. “Liora, what happened? How did you get hurt?”
Liora stared at the man in front of her, her throat parched and her body trembling slightly.
Just as she opened her mouth to speak, Greg’s phone buzzed in his pocket.
Liora instinctively glanced over. It was a message from someone saved. under the contact name “Captain“.
“Mr. Alston, are you sure you want to spend 150 thousand to boost the video of Liora?”
Her brows furrowed. She gripped the edge of the bedsheet tightly. “Who is that?”
Greg slipped the phone back into his pocket. He ruffled her hair gently, the corners of his lips curling into a soft, almost tender smile.
“Just spam. Don’t overthink it, Liora. We’re getting married tomorrow.

Liora’s fingernails dug into her palm. She clenched her jaw and said. nothing.
Greg stayed only a short while before leaving in a hurry.
An hour later, Liora’s phone pinged with an X hot topic notification.
She tapped it open–and her whole body began to shake with rage.
It was a viral video from two days ago, taken at the abandoned factory. In it, she was forced to swallow cigarette butts and sand.
The title read, “Sweet Revenge! The Bully Gets Bullied!”
In just one hour, the video had racked up millions of views and triggered a flood of comments.
“I heard this chick pushed that popular girl from Agricultural University off the roof three years ago!”
“So satisfying! Bullies deserve every bit of it!”
“Too bad her face is censored with a mosaic!”
Every comment sliced through Liora’s pride like a knife.
With trembling hands, she replied to the posts, explaining that she was the real victim.
But every comment she posted mysteriously vanished seconds after being. submitted.
The door to her hospital room suddenly creaked open. From the doorway, Talia’s mocking voice drifted in, “Did you like the little surprise I prepared for you?”
Chapter 6
“I wasn’t even planning to push it online, but Mr. Alston felt bad for me after the whole kidnapping drama. He insisted on spending 150 thousand
to boost it.
“Liora, he said today’s just the appetizer. The real show’s tomorrow. I’m really curious to see how he plans to deal with you.”
Liora glared at her, fingers turning white from the tension.
The next morning, Greg arrived at the hospital with a makeup artist and a wedding dress in tow.
Liora quietly changed into the gown and sat still while they did her makeup.
An hour later, they arrived at the wedding venue.
Greg’s friends were already there, waiting. When they spotted Liora. sitting quietly nearby, their lips curled into sneers.
“Look at her. You really think she’s excited about this wedding?”
“She probably still doesn’t know this whole ceremony is just for Greg to confess to Talia.”
“Don’t forget the part where Greg promised to share the ‘goodies‘ with us.”
“Tsk, savage. The dude’s spending a hundred thousand to livestream her downfall. Once that loan tape drops, Liora’s going to be famous for all the wrong reasons
Greg smirked, a cold edge to his thin lips.
“The trap’s been set long enough. Time to tighten the net. Women like Liora deserve to pay.”

Chapter 5
Though the men kept their voices low, Liora heard every word.
She glanced at the time, slowly stood up, and walked toward Greg. “I need to use the bathroom.”
His cold expression softened immediately, concern filling his “You’re in a wedding dress. I’ll go with you.”
gaze.
Liora shook her head, meeting his eyes with a chilling calm. “Greg, in a little while, we’ll be something else entirely.”
Greg thought she meant they were finally going to be husband and wife. A flicker of disgust passed through his dark eyes. “Yeah. We’ll be married soon.”
Liora caught that flash of disdain. She gave a hollow, bitter smile.
Not husband and wife, but strangers–strangers who’ll never meet again.
Lifting the hem of her dress, she slowly walked toward the restroom.
Once inside, she quickly changed out of the wedding gown and into the black clothes she had hidden in advance. Then, she made her way out of the building.
Half an hour later, Liora returned home.
She only took her ID documents and one thing she’d poured her heart into over the past two years–her tomato plant.
Six months ago, she’d signed up for a nationwide agricultural innovation
contest.
If her tomatoes ripened successfully within the next week, she stood a strong chance of winning first prize–along with a million–dollar payout and instant fame in the agricultural field.
Chapter 6
The sad part? She hadn’t just joined out of love for farming. She’d hoped to use the prize money to pay off her nude loan debt and marry Greg in style.
Downstairs, members of the Collen family from New York were already waiting.
Liora’s eyes showed a flicker of surprise as she approached. “Who sent you?”
The butler bowed his head and replied solemnly, “Madam Collen asked me to bring you back to the old estate. She has something to tell you in person.”
Liora frowned slightly.
Rumor had it that ever since Nathan became mute, Sylvia wanted nothing to do with him.
Liora had no choice but to get in the car.
Just as she sat down, a notification flashed on her phone. Greg’s wedding livestream had gone live for the entire city to see.
