Chapter 2
These were photos Ryder had taken during our first month together–after his family had pressured him into proposing to me. He’d been so resentful, so cruel in those early days.]
Their grins widened at my offer.]
“No bullshit, Piper. Show us a sample first!“]]
Before I could reach for my phone, Victoria had already sent several images to their private group chat. Their expressions changed instantly–hungry, predatory.
“Damn, who knew this skinny thing was hiding such a body under those modest clothes?“]
“Look at that expression… I’d give anything for a night with her!“[]
The photos showed me beneath Ryder, eyes half–closed in what appeared to be ecstasy. But the angles were strange–completely different from the setup Ryder had used.]]
With sickening clarity, I realized Victoria had been secretly recording our most intimate moments.]
My fists clenched as shame burned through me: “Why do you have footage from your brother’s bedroom? Our private moments?“]
Victoria smiled smugly. “My brother and I have always shared everything. I can see his cameras, he can see mine. You’re just his accessory–you have no right to question me.”

I turned to Ryder, desperate for some indication that he found this inappropriate. He wouldn’t even meet my eyes.
“Doesn’t it disgust you that your adult sister watches us in bed? That you both spy on each other naked? That’s seriously twisted!“]
Instead of being embarrassed, he turned his anger on me.]
“You’re the one who should be ashamed! Acting all innocent and proper around my mother, and now betting our intimate photos like poker chips. What kind of woman did I agree to marry?“]
He conveniently forgot that he had driven me to this point tonight.[]
Victoria’s smile widened. “Brother, perhaps Piper’s just naturally this way. You could still call off the wedding…“[]
During our exchange, the other players had been blatantly signaling each other about their cards.
“Hurry up! I can’t wait to see more of the prim and proper Piper Kane–to–be. The good girls are always the wildest behind closed doors.”
I waited expressionlessly for the dealer to continue.
After the flop, two players folded immediately, recognizing their weak hands.
Jackson Blake, heir to the billionaire in LA, led the betting.
“This girl’s got spirit! Since she’s being so generous, let’s show her how the big boys play. I’m betting everything my girlfriend’s wearing, plus my new Lamborghini.”
The remaining players matched his enthusiasm.]
“I’ll add my downtown penthouse!“]]
“My nightclub on the Strip!“]
“Two yachts from my collection!“[]
The dealer revealed the turn card, and I watched as several players exchanged knowing glances, two subtly nodding to indicate strong hands.

All eyes returned to me
“Miss Piper, you’ve already shown your trump card. What else could you possibly bet now?“[]
“Don’t tell me you’re offering your virginity!” someone jeered. “We’ve all heard Kane made you bleed the first time. Second–hand goods aren’t our style!”
“Though we are curious–Kane seems so strait–laced in public, but you two are wild in private. Your wedding night might bring down the whole mansion!”
I stared at Ryder in shock. He’d shared even those intimate details with them.
In his eyes, I was nothing but cheap entertainment.[]
When I’d donated my kidney to him, watching his pale face in that hospital bed, I’d fallen so deeply in love.[]
I truly believed that one day he would see me, truly see me, and love me back.
Instead, he couldn’t wait to share our most private moments before we were even married.[]
In his mind, I was no different from the escorts they hired for their yacht parties every summer.
My heart shattered, but I forced a bitter smile.
“Since you’re all so interested in my nights with Ryder, I’ll bet 1 T of private videos. I guarantee you’ll be satisfied.“]
