Chapter 9 Honey, Are You Really Going to Let Someone Bully Me?
The maid stepped up obediently.
Raine tried to stop her, but it was too late.
The honest maid picked up the suitcase–then blinked in confusion.
“Huh? It’s empty?”
Everyone was speechless.
Claudia raised her brows, feigning surprise. “Weren’t you moving out just now? Why bring an empty suitcase?”
All eyes fell on Raine–curious, judgmental, faintly mocking.
Her face turned an ugly mix of red and purple. She wanted to die on the spot.
“I’ll just go fix the room,” she mumbled, grabbing the suitcase and fleeing upstairs.
When Claudia turned around, she caught Nero watching her with a look that was… loaded.
She felt a little guilty. He definitely knew she’d done it all on purpose.
But hey, she hadn’t done anything wrong. Raine started it. Wasn’t she allowed to strike back?
So she looked right at him and said boldly, “Honey, what’s wrong?”
In Nero’s dark, fathomless eyes, a rare glint of amusement flickered.
“Nothing,” he replied. After a beat, he added, “Who moved your things out of your room?”
Was he going to take her side?
Claudia’s eyes lit up. She glanced around, confirmed the culprits, and pointed without hesitation-
