Everyone’s attention was drawn to the Maybach. The School Board Chairman scoffed. “What, your benefactor is here? A Maybach is worth nothing! Today, even if the highest power arrived, I will see you dead!”
My mother and Bethany, who had been somewhat hesitant, now looked at me with contempt and disdain. Bethany sneered, “Oh! psychiatrist from a mental hospital isn’t enough for you? Now you’ve got yourself a sugar daddy!”
My mother spat, “Bah! I always said she was no good! I raised her for so many years; wouldn’t I know what kind of person she is?”
The live stream comments exploded with curses directed at me.

I was growing desperate, but the person inside the car still didn’t emerge. The parents present were already furious. “We understa nd now. You dared to bomb the school because you have a benefactor backing you! If the law doesn’t give us justice, we’ll take matters into our own hands!”
The atmosphere was exactly like my past life, yet the person in the car still delayed.
“Veronica! Stop dragging your feet! Get out of the car! If you don’t get out now, they’ll kill me!”
At that name, Bethany and my mother trembled. They no longer aggressively confronted me; instead, with surprising synchronicity they turned to look at the Maybach. Finally, the Maybach door opened, and a beautiful woman stepped out.
“On. Little Claire, I was just thinking, this is our first meeting since we found out we were mother and daughter. I just had to make sure I looked my best!”
Bethany’s jaw nearly hit the ground. “Mom? What nonsense are you talking about? I’m your daughter!”
My biological mother, Ms. Veronica, stopped pretending. “Hmph! Bethany Miller, I treated you so well, and yet you tried to frame my own biological daughter! And you, Eleanor Vance! I considered you my best friend, brought you food and drink every day! And what do you do? You swapped your daughter with mine, making me a fool for all these years!”
Eleanor’s face went pale, and she bit her lip. “You… you knew?”
