“Are you people idiots?” I stared coldly at the stunned Samuel. “Get this straight–Sophie and her fiancé set me up! The current
situation is just their actions backfiring on them. Are you blind? Can’t you see the evidence of them trying to harm me, only focusing on me fighting back online? With their scheming, I’m being generous not going after them offline. How dare you blame the victim!”
Everyone fell silent.
Edward gritted his teeth. “If you hadn’t stolen Sophie’s things, why would such a kind girl be driven to do bad things!”
I laughed.
When Sophie did bad things, she was “driven to it.” When I used tactics, I was always labeled “vicious.”
What kind of logic was that?
“Steal?” I laughed out loud. “Mr. Sullivan, what gives me the right to steal in the Sullivan family? You need confidence to steal. When did you ever give me that? I don’t even have the right to normal family relationships in this house, yet you think I have the power to
steal from her!”
Chloe’s eyes reddened.
Dad pressed his lips together, saying nothing.
“Sis.” Sophie suddenly cried. “This situation isn’t what I wanted to see either. I didn’t want to be switched at birth either… I am suffering too…”
My parents immediately looked at her with heartache.
I immediately cut off their words. “Stop playing victim. How is a regular kid who got switched into old money and lived the good life for 26 years the victim? Your parents put you there on purpose – they never would’ve abandoned you like they did me. No matter how you spin it, you’re not the victim here. If anyone gets to cry, it’s me. So quit the act.”
Sophie froze.
Samuel wanted to say something, but when he opened his mouth, he found he couldn’t say a word,
