Chapter 3
Alyssa didn’t speak, she just felt his warm embrace, with irony and pain intertwined in her heart.
How could he act so well.
If she hadn’t seen with her own eyes the scene of him mingling with others, perhaps under Austin’s elaborate explanation, she would really believe him.
Unfortunately, in this world, there are no “ifs“.
Austin, once unfaithful, forever unnecessary.
Perhaps it was the unusual behavior Alyssa displayed that made him feel a bit uneasy, in the following days, Austin deliberately canceled all his appointments and stayed at home to accompany her.
In order to please her, all kinds of luxury goods and fashion show dresses were sent to the villa like flowing water.
No matter how many things he gave her, she never showed a sinile.
Until that day, he mysteriously covered her eyes and took her to the tallest building in the city center.
When the hands that were covering my eyes were finally removed, I saw that it was a candlelit dinner he had carefully prepared.
If it were in the past, she would be surprised and touched to see the surprise he had prepared. But now, she just sat silently in the seat he had pulled out for her, quietly eating and listening to him reminisce about their past.
“Alyssa, do you remember? It was here that I proposed to you all those years ago. I spent half a year planning this wedding, with a global live broadcast. Do you remember what I did when you said yes to my proposal?”
Alyssa paused slightly while cutting the steak, and whispered, “You were crying.”
Austin’s lips curled slightly, “Yes, I cried.”
How much love must there be for a man to shed tears in front of the world’s cameras when marrying the girl he loves.
When he mentioned the past, it is false to say that there was no emotional impact at all, perhaps in the past, he really loved her.
But now things have changed, and the person in front of her is no longer the Austin who once said he would only love her forever.
She was lost in her thoughts when suddenly a necklace with a jade pendant appeared before her eyes, identical in style to the jewelry that had fetched a price of over a billion at the auction not long ago.
She looked up and her gaze met his eyes filled with love.
“This necklace is called Loyal to Alyssa. The moment I saw it, I felt that it suits you very well. I also love its name, which symbolizes that I will love you for a lifetime.”
She looked into his eyes with a slight daze, but Maggie came up at this moment.
She greeted Alyssa with a smile and then respectfully walked over to Austin, “Mr. Burton, the things you wanted are all ready.”
He nodded and snapped his fingers.
“Bang!”
“Bang!”
“Bang!”
At the moment Austin snapped his fingers, countless fireworks kept rising and blooming in the night sky, opening up beautiful flowers one after another. Maggie looked at Alyssa enviously and said, “Mrs. Burton, these fireworks will be lit for a whole day and night. Mr. Burton knew you liked fireworks, so he specially prepared this surprise for you.”
Fireworks were very romantic, she liked them very much.
Fireworks are fleeting, and so is love.
A gust of wind blew, causing the tissue in front of Alyssa to fall to the ground. She instinctively bent down to pick it up, but out of the corner of her eye, through the lifted tablecloth, she caught a glimpse of a pair of legs in stockings gently rubbing against Austin’s suit pants.
There were only three people present, and “she” was not one of them, so it was obvious who the leg–rubber was.
What made her breath catch was that Austin did not push away that leg, but instead, when Maggie was about to withdraw, suddenly reached out and, in a Chapter 3

very domineering manner, grabbed her ankle.
His well–defined joints were particularly sexy against her black stockings, gently caressing her ankles and causing her to tremble with each soft touch.
Finally, those hands were not satisfied with this, and they roamed up along her ankles.
Seeing that things were about to get out of hand, Austin stood up.
His expression showed no sign of abnormality at all, still the same affectionate look, just with a hint of guilt, “Sweetheart, I’m sorry, I have to make a phone call suddenly. Please wait here for a while, I will come back to accompany you after I finish the call.”
After saying that, he got up and left directly.
Not long after he left, Maggie also left.
Watching their backs as they left one by one, Alyssa did not stay in place as he suggested, but instead followed suit.
Finally, she stopped at the corridor of the rooftop.
M
Not far away, Austin was holding Maggie in his arins, kissing her passionately.
