Chapter 14
I tried all kinds of contact methods, but it was always like throwing a stone into the sea.
Abbie was determined not to contact them.
Cindy looked at her phone in despair, constantly praying in her heart, “I hope the Smith family doesn’t come to settle the score with the Campbell family!”
As Abbie’s mother, she was also unaware of whose child was inside Abbie’s belly.
Not saying whether it was Vincent or not, just the fact that she quietly took the child away is enough to disturb the Campbell family’s peace of mind.
There was no way, the Campbell family relied on the Smith family to survive, and they could only pray.
The people from the Campbell family and the people from the Smith family tried every method, but none of them were able to contact Abbie.
Vincent found out her flight information, and it turned out that it wasn’t his illusion when he saw her at the airport.
He could have brought her back if he had asked clearly, just a little bit more.
But the twists and turns of the world, unfortunately, led them to miss each other.
Abbie flew to Aeroland with her children. She had made up her mind like this, could they… go back to the way things were before?
Vincent, who had always been confident and capable of strategizing, found himself at a loss for the first time when faced with Abbie’s situation.
Liana dealt with the airport matters and when she rushed back, there were still traces of tears of grievance on her face.
“Vincent, didn’t we agree that you would accompany me to relax? And you have three days left to give me an answer. We had previously agreed that on my twenty–sixth birthday, you would decide whether to reconcile with me or not.”
“It was only three days left, clearly you had me in your heart all along, shall we not wait for these three days anymore, okay?”
She tightly held Vincent’s hand, pleading, with an indescribable panic in her heart.
Vincent’s eyes lowered, silently refusing.
Actually, he had already made the decision, didn’t he?
From the moment they agreed to get married, he and she could never go back to the past.
Not to mention the kiss he refused that night when he was drunk.
Even with so much reluctance and longing, he chose to let go, both emotionally and logically.
The follow–up that Abbie didn’t see that night was Liana looking at him with anticipation and asking tentatively, “Can we go back to the way things were? You don’t like Abbie, and I’ve already divorced. We clearly love each other, but we’ve missed out on so much. Let’s not waste any more time, okay?”
Vincent hesitated for a moment and slowly pushed her out of his embrace.
“Wait a little longer, I hadn’t made up my mind yet. In a while, on your birthday, I will give you the final answer.”
He set himself a deadline, a deadline to give up on Liana.
He was extremely clear that this relationship should not continue and it would be best to end it as soon as possible.
Abbie was also fine. He couldn’t let her down. He had to take responsibility for this marriage.
So later he said to her, “If you insist, I could fulfill marital duties, but it would have to wait until one month later.”
I didn’t expect that before the final deadline, she gave birth to another man’s child and left!
Vincent’s eyes dimmed, but his heart was almost overwhelmed by jealousy.
