After Julian carried me away, Liam, sobbing, stood rooted to the spot, trembling uncontrollably. Chloe saw him, wiped away her tears, and approached him with a soft voice.
“Liam, don’t be sad. Aurora doesn’t know how good she had it, abandoning a great man like you to be with someone else.”
“She doesn’t truly love you. Please don’t be sad, okay?”
“If she doesn’t want you, *I* want you! I’m carrying your baby. Once the baby is born, we’ll get married. Or, how about I’m the bride at the wedding next week, and we go through with it as planned?”
She looked up at him with innocent, hopeful eyes. However, Llam suddenly lost control and grabbed her by the throat. His eyes were bloodshot, filled with rage.
“It’s all you! If you hadn’t seduced me, why would Aurora and I have broken up? Why would she be with someone else?”
“I’m telling you, even if you’re pregnant with my child, I won’t marry you! The one I love has always been Aurora!” “Everyone knows you were only with me for the Hayes family’s wealth. You wanted money, and I wanted sex. We used each other!”
After saying this, he violently pushed Chloe away. Chloe fell to the ground, shaking her head frantically, tears glistening in her eyes as she stammered defensively. “It’s not like that, Liam! I never thought about replacing Aurora…”
She suddenly clutched her stomach, groaning in pain. “Liam, my stomach hurts so much, I feel really unwell…”

But this time, Liam didn’t respond to her at all. He slowly got up, mumbling to himself as he walked towards the door, “Aurora, please don’t leave me, okay? I miss you… If you just come back to me, I’ll do anything..”
But it was too late for anything now. I had given him his chance,
Meanwhile, Julian frantically rushed me to the doctor. After the doctor examined me and confirmed they were just superficial wounds, he finally breathed a sigh of relief. He carried me swiftly towards a luxurious car, Passersby couldn’t help but gaze at us with infatuated eyes. A man with an angelic face carrying a woman, followed by a dozen bodyguards–the scene was truly stunning.
I struggled to get down. “Jullan, you can put me down now”
He curved his lips into a beautiful smile, whispering in my ear, “You’re Julian Hayes’s woman now, no need to be shy”
I hadn’t felt anything before, but his words made my face flush. To keep him from noticing, I buried my head in his chest. I noticed an
undeniable smile on his face.
The car fell silent for a moment. If he hadn’t appeared today, I didn’t know what kind of torment Liam would have put me through. I clenched
my fists, about to thank him, but he spoke first.
“So, do you regret it? You can’t go back on your word now, you know.”
Looking at the genuine affection in his eyes, and remembering all of Liam’s actions, I made up my mind and shook my head, “No regrets”
“Then let’s get our marriage license?”
His tone was decisive, and I was momentarily stunned. Was it too fast? I asked in surprise, “Are all you Hayes family scions so decisive? Didn’t you say it’s better to stay single and find girlfriends outside? You’re so eager to marry me; it won’t be so easy to find other women later, you
know.”
He suddenly laughed, gently pinching my cheek, his touch incredibly tender. “Who said I’d look for other women later? From now on, you’re my
only woman. And I’ve never had any other women before.”
The driver quickly chimed in. “Yes, Ms. Hayes, Mr. Hayes is absolutely telling the truth. Our Mr. Hayes is still a virgin!”
Julian looked a bit flustered now. He raised his hand and patted the driver’s head. “If you can’t speak properly, just shut up.”
I was a little surprised. I didn’t expect such an outstanding man to still be a virgin. I’d truly “hit the jackpot.” I composed myself and gave him a smile. “Alright, let’s go, get our license.”
He immediately told the driver to drive to my apartment building so I could grab my household registration book. Half an hour later, we arrived at the Civil Affairs Bureau. So, it was this easy to get a marriage certificate, yet I had waited ten years for Liam. Every time I suggested we make it official, he would always say “just wait a little longer.” Now, I was rather glad I hadn’t married him then. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have met such an amazing Julian.
Julian leaned down, whispering in my ear, “Mrs. Hayes, you won’t escape my grasp now.”
I smiled softly, “For the rest of our lives, please guide me.”
