Chapter 2
But blood still flowed, a steady, crimson stream.
“Daniel! Do you love her that much? Are you willing to die for her?”
“I” was mad with jealousy.
Full of hate and resentment.
Daniel’s face was pale.
But he still reached out and gently covered “my” eyes.
Blocking out the sight of the blood.
“Aria.”
“Don’t be afraid.”
“Don’t do the wrong thing.”
I could only watch from the void, numbly observing everything.
I couldn’t even feel the pain anymore.

Daniel was taken to the hospital.
Even in the brief moments as he was being loaded into the ambulance, he was still comforting me.
“Aria, don’t worry.”
“Go to school.”
“I’ll take care of everything.”
He had lost a lot of blood.
His face was as white as a sheet.
But he still thought he was the Daniel who could shield me from everything.
Even Hannah, who despised me so much, couldn’t help but speak to me.
“Aria Astor, you should be grateful.”
“No matter what you do, you have Daniel to clean up your messes.
“Otherwise, you think I wouldn’t have fought back against your pathetic little tricks?”
She gave us a cold, sweeping glance.
She couldn’t help but curse.
“Two lunatics.”
I felt like I was in a daze,
Sometimes I was floating in the void, sometimes I was holding that knife.
After stuffing the folder into Hannah’s arms, I stumbled away.
When I regained consciousness, I booked the earliest flight to Berlin.
